Meet Our Team

Behind every successful gaming education program are passionate instructors and industry professionals who bring real-world experience into the classroom. Our team combines decades of development expertise with genuine enthusiasm for teaching the next generation of game creators.

Leadership

Priya Blackwood

Head of Education

Priya brings fifteen years of experience from major gaming studios including her time as lead programmer on three AAA titles. She started teaching part-time in 2019 and discovered her passion for education. "There's something incredibly rewarding about watching someone solve their first complex algorithm," she often tells new students.

She holds a Master's in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon and has published several papers on game engine optimization. When she's not reviewing curriculum or mentoring students, you'll find her experimenting with procedural generation techniques for her indie projects.

Core Instructors

Felix Moravec

JavaScript & Game Logic

Felix spent eight years at indie studios before transitioning to education. His specialty lies in breaking down complex programming concepts into digestible pieces. Students appreciate his patient approach and real-world examples drawn from projects that actually shipped to market.

Amara Tulugan

UI/UX Design

With a background in both traditional graphic design and interactive media, Amara helps students understand how players actually interact with games. She's particularly skilled at teaching responsive design principles and accessibility considerations that many developers overlook.

Tobias Kempner

Backend Systems

Before joining our team, Tobias architected multiplayer systems for several successful mobile games. He enjoys teaching database design and server optimization, though he admits these topics can be challenging. "Once students grasp the fundamentals, everything else clicks into place," he explains.

Luna Okonkwo

Game Analytics

Luna combines her statistics background with practical gaming industry experience. She helps students understand player behavior patterns and teaches them how to interpret data meaningfully. Her courses consistently receive high ratings for their practical applications.

Our Development Approach

We believe in learning by doing. Rather than lecturing about theoretical concepts, our instructors guide students through actual development scenarios. Each semester, teams work on real projects that simulate industry conditions.

Our autumn 2025 cohort will tackle progressive web applications for casino-style games, starting with basic card mechanics in September and building toward full multiplayer functionality by December. Students work in small groups, learning version control, code review processes, and collaborative problem-solving.

The winter intensive program beginning January 2026 focuses on advanced topics like performance optimization and cross-platform deployment. These aren't just academic exercises – they're skills that matter in professional development environments.

Student Success Stories

Graduate showcase event featuring student-developed casino games displayed on tablets and laptops

Our graduates have gone on to work at companies ranging from small indie studios to established gaming corporations. What makes us particularly proud isn't just where they end up, but how well-prepared they are when they get there.

Recent graduate Zara mentioned that her first employer was impressed by her understanding of code organization and debugging techniques. "The practical experience from Belvenix made the transition to professional development much smoother than I expected," she shared during our spring 2025 alumni event.

We don't promise specific job outcomes because success depends on individual effort and market conditions. However, we do ensure every student completes the program with a portfolio of functional projects and a solid understanding of professional development practices.

What Drives Us

Practical Learning

Every lesson connects directly to real development challenges. We skip theoretical fluff in favor of hands-on experience with tools and techniques you'll actually use professionally.

Individual Growth

Students learn at different paces and bring different strengths. Our instructors adapt their teaching style to help each person build on their existing skills while addressing knowledge gaps.

Industry Relevance

Technology changes rapidly in game development. We regularly update our curriculum based on current industry trends and feedback from professionals working in the field today.

Supportive Community

Learning to code can be frustrating at times. Our team creates an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes without judgment.
